A 17-year-old girl who loves hunting was denied when she submitted a photo of herself with a bow for her senior yearbook picture.
The photo was denied because officials consider it a weapon.
“Her and her dad hunt. She’s an avid hunter. She hunts deer, and it’s the only sport she does.” said the girl’s mom.
To date, over 7.5 million youth have participated in National Archery in the Schools Program in nearly 9,000 schools across the United States and in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and South Africa. NASP teaches two-week archery courses to students in the 4th through 12th grade, focusing on the history of the sport, safety, technique, equipment, concentration, self-improvement, and physical fitness, specifically core strengthening.
