This here deer is called the Kashmir musk deer and has vampire-like fangs. It is found in middle eastern countries like India, Pakistan and Afghanistan. The recent sighting was the first time since first seeing the endangered deer in 1948.
Musk deer are a delicacy in the forest region but they are mostly hunted for their scent glands which can sell for up to $20,000 per pound on the black market.
These musk deer are endangered and wildlife officials are trying to come up with a conservation plan, but with all the unrest and violence in the area, wildlife conservationists have not been able to operate in the area.
