World Record 47 Point Deer Taken Near Nashville, TN

A potential world record 47 point buck was taken in Gallatin, TN by 26 year old Stephen Tucker with a shot from approximately 40 yards away with a muzzleloader in Sumner County, TN.

Preliminary measurements before the 60 day drying period were: 47-point non-typical rack at 313 2/8-inches gross. The net score after deductions was 308 3/8. It won’t be scored again until January 2017.

Tennessee’s current state non-typical record is 244 3/8ths inches, also killed by a hunter in Sumner County in 2000.

Tucker estimated the deer weighed 150lbs and was 3 1/2 years old.
